Un-Nooh Relaxed About Crucible Qualifiers

Thepchaiya Un-Nooh is unfazed about the prospect of having to qualify for the Crucible next month, if he is outside the world’s top 16.

The Thai ace enjoyed a spell inside the top 16 earlier the season and was handed a Masters debut. But he has since dropped down and is currently 19th in the Race to the Crucible. He could still jump into the elite by winning this week’s BetVictor Gibraltar Open, otherwise he’ll be aiming to come through the qualifiers in Sheffield for a fourth year in a row.

“After this week I’ll have four or five weeks off to get ready for the World qualifiers,” said Un-Nooh, after beating Rod Lawler 4-3. “So I have time to prepare myself. I am quite relaxed about the qualifiers. I only need to win two matches to make it to the Crucible.”
