White To Face Drago In Semis
A Whirlwind will meet a Tornado in the last four of the LLP Solicitors World Seniors Snooker Championship on Sunday, after Jimmy White and Tony Drago both scored impressive wins in the quarter-finals.

Malta’s Drago edged out Mark Davis 4-3 in the quarter-finals, despite letting slip a 3-0 lead. Davis made a 137 total clearance in frame four then took the fifth thanks to a fluke on the last red, and added the next with a run of 98 for 3-3. The decider came down to the colours and 57-year-old Drago cleared from brown to pink for victory.

White, who won this event in 2010, 2019 and 2020, was in superb form in a 4-0 defeat of Australia’s Adrian Ridley. Breaks of 76, 103, 80 and 84 saw the 61-year-old into the last four.
In the other semi-final, Ben Hancorn will meet Alfie Burden. Hancorn edged out Gerard Greene 4-3 in the quarter-finals thanks to a crucial run of 49 in the decider. Burden saw off Stephen Hendry 4-1with a top break of 85.
