When Ronnie O'Sullivan Walked Out On Stephen Hendry | 2006 UK Championship Quarter Final

Williams Is Group Four King

Mark Williams secured his place in the Championship League Snooker Winners’ Group with a 3-0 Group Four final victory over Mark Selby.

The former World Champion will now join Ronnie O’Sullivan, Judd Trump and Stephen Maguire in the big-money Winners’ Group at the start of March.

Williams, who defends his 888sport World Seniors title in Preston this weekend, was 2-0 down to Graeme Dott in his group semi-final, but a 129 break saw the Welshman keep his hopes alive and he took the last two frames of the match to land a place in the final.

Selby had seen off Australian Neil Robertson in his semi-final, with a top break of 79 helping the Leicester cueman to a 3-1 victory.

Robertson, Dott and fifth-placed player Ricky Walden will be joined in Group Five, which commences on Monday, February 22, by David Gilbert, Mark Davis and Kyren Wilson.
