Wilson Makes UK Open Last 16

Snooker’s world number 15 Gary Wilson is switching cue sport codes this week and has performed tremendously to make the last 16 of the nineball pool UK Open in London.

The Wallsend cueman will now face a mouthwatering clash with world number one Francisco Sanchez Ruiz tomorrow afternoon. Wilson is playing in only his third nineball event, but a 10-6 win over Naoyuki Oi and a 10-4 defeat of Anthony Brabin have seen him make the final weekend.

Wilson and Sanchez Ruiz are first on the TV table tomorrow afternoon and fans in the UK can tune in live on Sky Sports from 12pm.
