Mark Williams, represented in the Virtual Betfred World Championship by Lee Cordrey, made a superb break of 131 as he booked a quarter-final place with a 2-1 win over Stephen Maguire.
After sharing the first two frames, Williams took the decider with the highest break of the tournament so far. He now meets Ronnie O’Sullivan or David Gilbert.
Mark Selby, represented by Scott Edwards, also made it through the first round as he saw off Ding Junhui 2-0. He now faces Neil Robertson or Barry Hawkins.
The winner of the tournament, which features the best gamers from our official video game Snooker 19, will come to the actual Crucible when the real-world event takes place to receive the trophy.
