Zhou Ahead In CLS Group One

Zhou Yuelong won three of his four matches on Tuesday to take the lead in Championship League Snooker Group One.

China’s Zhou beat Ryan Day 3-1, Mark King 3-2 and Michael Holt 3-1, and despite a 3-2 defeat against Stephen Maguire he topped the group at the end of the opening day.

Maguire, Day and Anthony Hamilton all won two matches while King, Holt and Kyren Wilson scored just one win each. Top break so far is a 145 from Day during a 3-1 win over Wilson (click here for all results).

The top four in the group at the end of Wednesday’s round-robin matches go through to the semi-finals, with the eventual group winner to go through to the winner’s group in March.
