English Open: Snooker Stars’ First Round Matches Scheduled
Snooker kings including World Champion Mark Williams and world number one Mark Selby have had their first round matches scheduled for next month’s English Open in Crawley.
The first ever major snooker tournament to be staged in Crawley runs from October 15 to 21 at K2, with 128 players chasing the Steve Davis Trophy.
The following first round matches have been scheduled:

Many more of snooker’s leading players have entered the tournament, including Neil Robertson, Shaun Murphy, Barry Hawkins, Kyren Wilson, Mark Allen, Luca Brecel, Stuart Bingham, Stephen Maguire, Ryan Day, Anthony McGill, Marco Fu and Jimmy White.
The deadline for entries is October 3rd, after that date the full draw and format will be confirmed.
Ronnie O’Sullivan won the title last year, beating Kyren Wilson in the final.
Televised by Eurosport and Quest, it is the first of the season’s Home Nations series, to be followed by tournaments in Belfast, Glasgow and Cardiff. Any player winning all four trophies will bank a massive £1 million bonus.
