Walker Coaches Hong Kong Talent

Former World Championship quarter-finalist Lee Walker, now an official WPBSA coach, recently spent a month at the Hong Kong Institute of Sport working with promising young players.

The Welshman said: “It was a fantastic experience and one that I really enjoyed. I was helping head coach Wayne Griffiths and assistant coach Alan Wong. The standard of snooker in Hong Kong is very high with some very promising junior players, four superb lady players and a number of excellent seniors, two of whom recently won the World Team Championship.

“With the fantastic state-of-the-art facilities and the great work that Wayne and Alan are doing, I don’t think it will be too long before we see more players from Hong Kong joining Marco Fu on the main tour.”
