Woollaston Joins 147 Club

Ben Woollaston made the first maximum break of his career during his match against Joe Steele at the Lisbon Open in Portugal.

The break came in the third frame of the last 128 match at the European Tour event – putting Leicester’s 27-year-old Woollaston 3-0 up. It’s the 110th official maximum in snooker history and fifth of the season, following 147s from Aditya Mehta, Ryan Day, Shaun Murphy and Ronnie O’Sullivan.

World number 36 Woollaston will receive £500 from the 147 rolling prize pot for ET events, as long as the break is not equalled during the tournament.
