Snooker presenter and MC Rob Walker has hooked up with stars including Mark Selby and Mark Williams for a competition which gives young children the chance to express their passion for sport.
The best 100 entries will win a £20 book token, and the top ten children will also win the opportunity to conduct a Zoom interview with a global sporting star such as Paula Radcliffe, Alistair Brownlee or one of snooker’s three-time World Champions Williams and Selby.
The competition is open to all children either in Years 3-6 or Years 7-11. To enter, they just have to write – or talk – about their passion for sport.

The competition is open until March 15th. The entries will then be judged by a panel which includes Selby and Williams.
Rob, who works on many snooker events across the season, wanted to do something positive for children across Britain & Northern Ireland and a local business in his area, so he bought £2,000 of book tokens from an Independent children’s bookshop called Octavia’s in Cirencester.
I’ve been thinking. This current situation is so tough on teachers, kids, parents & businesses. Decided to do something. Huge thanks to @paulajradcliffe @markjesterselby @markwil147 & @AliBrownleetri for agreeing to be involved. Competition launch next week. #youngsportingwonders pic.twitter.com/QEwUtHKamP
