Kyren Wilson visited Barton Seagrave Primary School in Kettering last week to meet children and encourage them to play snooker.

The five-time ranking event winner answered questions from the pupils, then gave a demonstration on a half size table built by Star Xingpai, before teaching them the basics of technique and cue action.

Wilson’s two sons, Finley and Bailey, both attend the school and they joined the masterclass.

The world number eight said: “Snooker has given me a great life, and it’s great to share some of my experiences with the next generation and hopefully inspire them. My own two boys absolutely love it and I am helping them as much as I can. It’s a fantastic game for young people to get involved with, and as a sport we have to encourage the stars of tomorrow.”
