Trump fulfilled his potential as one of snooker’s most talented stars with a stunning 18-9 Crucible final victory over John Higgins in 2019, to land his maiden world title. He was runner-up in 2022 when Ronnie O’Sullivan secured a historic seventh World Championship win, beating him 18-13. Trump is a member of snooker’s elite Triple Crown club, having won the Masters in 2019 and 2023, as well as the UK Championship in 2011. He racked up an incredible 11 ranking event wins over the 19/20 and 20/21 campaigns. In total he has 28 ranking crowns to his name.

The Ace in the Pack has been on red hot form this term, adding five ranking titles to his already imperious CV. Trump was the last player standing in three consecutive events as he stormed to a jet setting hat-trick at the English Open, Wuhan Open and Northern Ireland Open, beating Zhang Anda, Ali Carter and Chris Wakelin in the respective finals. Bristolian Trump claimed his third German Masters crown in February, beating Si Jiahui in the title match at the Tempodrom. He then defended his World Open title with a 10-4 win over Ding Junhui in Yushan.

Trump's World Championship victory in 2019 is the finest moment of his career thus far. He and Higgins previously clashed in the 2011 world final, with Higgins emerging an 18-15 victor following a pulsating encounter. Trump turned the tables eight years later to finally land a maiden world title. He fired in seven centuries to equal the record for most made in a match at the Crucible, during his 18-9 triumph.
