Judd Trump is already close to setting a new record for prize money in a single season, with the second half of the 2024/25 campaign still to come. He looks sure to raise the bar for that record much higher, and could even reach an incredible £2 million.

So far in 2024/25, Trump has earned £1,220,200, on the verge of the record of £1,266,300 set by Ronnie O'Sullivan last season. A run to the semi-finals of this month's Johnstone's Paint Masters would be enough for Trump to beat the record.

If he decides to enter every tournament for the rest of the season, the top prizes available are:

Johnstone's Paint Masters: £350,000
Machineseeker German Masters: £100,000
BetVictor Championship League: £25,000*
BetVictor Welsh Open: £100,000
World Open: £175,000
World Grand Prix: £180,000
Players Championship: £150,000
Tour Championship: £150,000
World Championship: £500,000

So there is a total of £1,730,000 available in top prizes. If Trump were to win both the Johnstone's Paint Masters and the World Championship - thus completing the 'Trump Slam' of all four majors having already landed the Saudi Arabia Snooker Masters and the Victorian Plumbing UK Championship - that alone would take him past the £2 million mark.

There are also three bonuses up for grabs:

BetVictor Home Nations Series bonus: £150,000. Trump would need to win the BetVictor Welsh Open to have a chance of this.
First player to 100 centuries in a season: £100,000. He leads the 2024/25 centuries tally with 47, so needs 53 more to reach 100.
Two 147s across the majors: £147,000. Trump would need to make two maximums in the Johnstone's Paint Masters and the World Championship to bank this bonus.

In addition there are high break prizes at each tournament which could add to his tally.

However he fares in the remainder of the campaign, this has been an outstanding season for Trump and he continues to forge his own piece of snooker history.

* approximate figure as the top prize is dependent on the number of groups played in and frames won
