Mark Selby crafted the 800th century of his career during a 5-3 win over spirited Chinese rookie Xing Zihao to qualify for the final stages of the World Open.

Selby's break of 130 in the fifth frame saw him achieve the landmark century haul. Xing levelled by taking the sixth to move level at 3-3, before Selby fired in century number 801 with a break of 101 to lead 4-3. The Leicester cueman sealed his qualificaiton by stealing the next on the black. The final stages take place in Yushan in March. 

Australia's Neil Robertson showed signs of a return to form with a 5-0 demolition of Victor Sarkis. Breaks of 99, 57, 66, 74 and 121 saw him sweep to victory and book his place in Yushan.

Iulian Boiko earned his place in the final stages with an emphatic 5-1 win over Women's World Champion Baipat Siripaporn. The Ukrainian teenager is only in the event by virtue of the withdrawal of Mark Williams, but he took full advantage today, crafting breaks of 83 and 82 en route to victory. 

Ricky Walden put on a fine display to whitewash China's Peng Yisong 5-0. The Chester cueman fired in breaks of 95, 66 and 101 on his way to securing a place in the final stages. 

Welshman Dominic Dale held off a fight back from Marco Fu to win 5-3 and seal a place in Yushan. Dale led 4-1 when breaks of 139 and 86 saw Hong Kong's Fu burst back within a frame. However, it was Dale who took a tight eighth to get over the line.
