Former professional Luo Honghao secured his place in the last 16 of Asia/Oceania Q School Event Two, defeating Dhruv Jatan Patel of India 4-0 in Bangkok.
China's Luo won the inaugural WSF Championship in 2018 to become professional for the first time. However, that didn't last long after he dropped off tour just three years later. Luo is now three wins away from a fresh two-year card. He now plays Ehsan Heydari Nezhad from Iran, who beat Rana Irfan Aslam 4-2.
Iran's Ali Gharagozlou was beaten in the final round of event one, narrowly losing out to Sunny Akani. He kept himself in the hunt to remedy that heartbreak with a 4-0 defeat of Narinton Tasurin from Thailand. Next up he faces Iranian compatriot Amin Sanjaei.
Pakistani Haris Tahir came through 4-3 in a thrilling battle with China's Zhou Jinhao. Breaks of 52 and 55 helped him to take the last two frames and steal victory. He now plays Indian Laxman Rawat.
