Xiao Guodong has jumped from 29th to 18th in the official world rankings following his victory at the Wuhan Open.

The 35-year-old beat Si Jiahui 10-7 in the final on Saturday to win his first ranking title and the £140,000 top prize boosts him 11 spots. He is now one of four Chinese players inside the top 20, joining Ding Junhui, Zhang Anda and Si. 

Rising star Si, age 22, earned £63,000 as runner-up and he remains 13th. Long Zehuang reached his first ranking event semi-final and he climbs from 70th to 66th. Judd Trump was the other losing semi-finalist and the world number one extends his lead at the top of the list to £519,700 over second-placed Kyren Wilson.

This list will now be used to determine seedings for the BetVictor Scottish Open, with the draw to be announced this week.

On the one-year list, Xiao jumps from 12th to fourth while Si is up one place to fifth. Long is up from 62nd to 28th. As usual, the top 32 will qualify for the World Grand Prix, then the top 16 will head to the Players Championship in Telford and the top 12 will progress to the Tour Championship in Manchester.

Xiao also earns a spot in the Champion of Champions tournament next month in Bolton.

There are three counting events to go in the Race to the Johnstone's Paint Masters and Si is up to 12th so is on track for a debut at Alexandra Palace in January. Xiao climbs to 17th and is just £8,350 behind Neil Robertson is 16th.

Having made six centuries in Wuhan, Trump heads the 2024/25 century breaks tally with 27, ahead of Shaun Murphy and Mark Selby on 23. The first player to reach 100 centuries this season will earn a £100,000 bonus.
