JOHNSTONE’S PAINT brand by PPG announces sponsorship of Snooker’s World Rankings

BIRSTALL, UK, October 28, 2024 – PPG (NYSE:PPG) today announced that its JOHNSTONE’S PAINT™ brand by PPG has become the sponsor of the official world rankings, as part of a far-reaching partnership with the World Snooker Tour. 

The Johnstone’s Paint World Rankings is a two-year rolling list that determines the official world number one and the ranking for all 128 tour snooker players.

The Johnstone’s Paint One-Year Rankings tracks how much money each player has won during the current season and determines who qualifies for the three events in the Players Series.

Johnstone’s Paint’s sponsorship of the world rankings starts immediately, following last week’s Northern Ireland Open, won by Kyren Wilson.

Johnstone’s Paint was the lead partner of both the Players Championship and Tour Championship last season, and will now sponsor the sport’s flagship invitation event, the Johnstone’s Paint Masters, for the next three years.
