As the 2024 Champion of Champions approaches, the seedings for the tournament’s top eight players have now been confirmed, with defending champion Mark Allen set to join Welsh Open and Scottish Open champion Gary Wilson in Group One.
Taking place from November 11-17 at Bolton’s Toughsheet Community Stadium, the 11th edition of the Champion of Champions will bring together snooker’s biggest stars for a thrilling week, broadcast live on ITV and networks worldwide.
In keeping with the traditional format, the top four seeds have each been placed in individual groups. Defending Champion Mark Allen, world number one Judd Trump, World Champion Kyren Wilson, and British Open winner Mark Selby occupy the top four positions, with each joined by a corresponding seed as follows:
Group Seedings:
-
Group One: Mark Allen (1) & Gary Wilson (8)
-
Group Two: Judd Trump (2) & Ali Carter (7)
-
Group Three: Kyren Wilson (3) & Mark Williams (6)
-
Group Four: Mark Selby (4) & Ronnie O’Sullivan (5)
The top eight seeds were finalised following the BetVictor Northern Ireland Open earlier this month. These seeded players will be randomly drawn against eight additional qualifiers who complete the 16-player roster, with the full group draw to be announced soon.
The latest additions to the field include Luca Brecel and Shaun Murphy, who have secured the 14th and 15th spots based on their rankings on the Johnstone's Paint World Rankings. The 16th and final spot will be confirmed following the conclusion of the 2024 International Open, which will either see a new champion or the next highest-ranked player qualify.
Event Schedule
The week-long event kicks off on Monday November 11th. Doors open at 12:15 for the afternoon session and at 18:15 for the evening session. The semi-finals take place on Friday November 15th, and Saturday November 16th begin with VIP access at 17:30, followed by general admission at 18:15.
