On September 30th, the 2024 World Snooker International Championship press conference was held at the 1865 Innovation Hall in Qinhuai District, Nanjing. The ancient city of Nanjing is set to host a world-class snooker event, with 73 of the world's top players gathering on the banks of the Qinhuai River from November 3rd to compete for the glory.
The total prize money for this event is £825,000 with the champion to receive £175,000. The qualifying rounds run from September 30 to October 2. The main event of the 2024 World Snooker International Championship will be held from November 3 to 10 at the Nanjing Qinhuai District South New City National Fitness Center.
To promote snooker, allowing citizens to deeply experience the charm of world-class snooker events and inject new vitality and momentum into the high-quality development of sports in Nanjing, the city of Nanjing has reached an agreement with the event IP owner, CCTVSE, to host this event for three consecutive years (2024-2026).
