Higgins won the Sportsbet.io Tour Championship in Manchester, beating Selby 10-8 in the final. The £150,000 prize lifted him from sixth to third. Si Jiahui, Xiao Guodong and Jak Jones will all be seeds at the Crucible for the first time. All players outside the top 16 will head for the qualifying rounds, which started today at the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield.

Despite losing in the quarter-finals in Manchester, Trump is £549,900 ahead of Wilson at the top of the official rankings, which means he is guaranteed to finish the season as world number one.
Higgins is up to third place in the Johnstone's Paint One-Year Rankings, with Selby now fifth.
Trump made one century last week to bring his total for the season to 93. He needs seven more at the Halo World Championship to bring his tally into three figures. Selby made 11 in Manchester and now has 71 - his best ever tally in a single campaign. The first player to make 100 centuries this season will earn a £100,000 bonus.
