WOW! Snooker never ceases to amaze. Our final match of the night comes down to a black ball fight at 9-9. Ricky Walden prevails to complete his comeback and beats Mitchell Mann 10-9. He will now face Zak Surety on Judgement Day.

That's a wrap for day six. See you tomorrow for further round three action on day seven.

10:50PM

We are going all the way in our last game of the evening. Ricky Walden came into tonight 7-2 down, he and Mitchell Mann are now locked level at 9-9. Who will take the final frame?

Another illustrious career comes to an end here at the English Institute of Sport this evening. Joe Perry succumbs to a 10-5 loss at the hands of Yuan Sijun. The former Welsh Open champion bows out for a final time, whilst Yuan progresses to face Zhou Yuelong on Judgement Day. Zhou defeated India's Ishpreet Singh Chadha 10-5 earlier on.

With just Mitchell Mann and Ricky Walden left playing. Here are the scores from this evening's third round ties.

Evening Scores (Round Three)

Gary Wilson 10-1 Hammad Miah

Jack Lisowski 8-10 Zak Surety

David Gilbert 10-6 Gong Chenzhi

Yuan Sijun 10-5 Joe Perry

Zhou Yuelong 10-5 Ishpreet Singh Chadha

Dominic Dale 4-10 Daniel Wells

Ricky Walden 7-8 Mitchell Mann (in play)

Anthony McGill 5-10 Aaron Hill

9:34PM

Zak Surety has done it. The recent World Open semi-finalist has taken his form from that event to Sheffield, a brilliant 10-8 win over Jack Lisowski takes him to Judgement Day. Either Ricky Walden or Mitchell Mann now stand between him and a debut at the Theatre of Dreams.

"I’m buzzing. I’m a bit speechless. I’ve got a few scars from the semi-final in China. When I got to nine, all I could think about was John Higgins clearing up against me. I had to tell myself to shut up. I’m delighted that I managed to hold my nerve. Especially in the World Championship and against Jack."

8:42PM

The end of an era for Dominic Dale. A fine performance from Daniel Wells earns a 10-4 win and books a Judgement Day showdown with Gary Wilson.

A brilliant career from the Spaceman, who won the Grand Prix in 1997 and the Shanghai Masters in 2007. Well done Dominic!

8:30PM

What a start from Ricky Walden. He came into this evening 7-2 down against Mitchell Mann, four on the bounce from the Chester cueman and it is now 7-6.

Wilson now faces a Judgement Day assignment against either Daniel Wells or Dominic Dale. Wells currently leads that one 8-4.

Big win for Ian Burns to keep his tour survival hopes alive. He beats Alfie Burden 10-4 to book a round three berth. Burden is subsequently relegated from the circuit.

It's a quick turnaround for Burns, who is off to Leeds to attend his cousin's wedding this evening!

3:41PM

A flurry of one sided victories have been completed already this afternoon. Former World Seniors Champion David Lilley has beaten 1997 Crucible king Ken Doherty 10-2, while two-time world finalist Matthew Stevens has beaten Simon Blackwell 10-3. They now play Lei Peifan and Thepchaiya Un-Nooh respectively.

Welshman Duane Jones enjoyed a contrasting experience to his first round match. He's scored a 10-1 win over Ma Hailong, to follow up a 10-9 win over Florian Nuessle in round one. Next up is a clash with Iranian number one Hossein Vafaei.

"It's different ends of the spectrum. I was a few balls from going out in round one. Now all of a sudden I'm 9-1 up. It is a crazy game and nothing surprises you. I was still panicking a little bit. You can never completely settle. All you have to do is look at what happened to Anthony Hamilton last night."

11:25AM

The retiring Dominic Dale looks up for this. He'll be hoping this third round meeting with Daniel Wells isn't his last ever game. A break of 131 has given the Spaceman a 2-1 lead. The victor this evening will earn a Judgement Day slot.

11:06AM

We nearly witnessed history last night, when Steven Hallworth came from 9-0 down against Anthony Hamilton to make it 9-8. Leading 63-0 in the 18th, the game looked set for a decider. However, Hamilton conjured his "best ever" clearance to stop the rot and win 10-8.

No player has ever won from 9-0 down in a best of 19. Was that the closest we will ever get to seeing it happen?

“That’s as hard as trying to get over the line in a ranking final. It’s a story that would follow you round for the rest of your life. If you lose from 9-0, you’re on quizzes and stuff. You don’t want that."

2017 German Masters Champion
