Joe O'Connor missed the final black for a 147 on his way to securing four wins from four on the opening day of Group Six at the BetVictor Championship League Invitational.
O'Connor made it to 140 heading into the final black during the second frame of his opening tie with fellow Leicester cueman Tom Ford. He missed a cutback to the top right, but went on to secure a 3-1 win.
The disappointment of missing out on perfection did nothing to derail O'Connor, who didn't drop a frame for the rest of the day. He scored 3-0 wins over Noppon Saengkham, Jak Jones and David Gilbert to end the day top of the table.
World number one Judd Trump finds himself in second. He scored three wins from four, beating Jack Lisowski, Jones and Ford, alongside a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Gilbert.
